If I was to tell you that I had an all-time favorite smoothie, I might be lying to you.
The truth is, I usually get a little fixated on a smoothie for awhile, calling it my favorite green smoothie ever, and then my tastes change with the seasons and the fruit available in them, and I have a new favorite. Just like that.
So here is my favorite green smoothie, for right now.
It’s relatively seasonal (although honestly not much grows in NW Florida this time of year, so that’s relative) and it has a little ginger to bring the heat, which is really great to help smooth the transition between summer and fall.

My Favorite Green Smoothie (right now)
Serves 1
Ingredients~
1 mango, peeled and pitted
1 pear, core removed
1/2 avocado (or more if you love avocados as much as I do)
broccoli stem, peeled (about 1/2 cup worth)
1 date, pitted
1 very small piece of ginger, peeled
1 large handful of kale, destemmed
1/2-1 cup non-dairy milk
Directions~
Place everything in a high-speed blender.
Blend thoroughly. Add some ice chunks if you want it cooler.
